We are an international couple with a strong passion for language learning.

We have always been enthusiastic about learning foreign languages and have explored many different academies and study groups, trying a wide range of learning methods along the way.

Through this journey, we realized the need for a space where people can actually meet others and speak a foreign language out loud—whether they get it right or wrong. That realization led us to create an affordable and accessible space for language practice.

At HATCHFLY, learners with similar levels and interests come together to form small study groups. They practice a variety of topics such as free talking, practical conversation, presentations, discussions, and exam preparation.

In addition to regular study sessions, you can also join language exchange meetups with international people, English and Chinese presentation clubs, and cultural experience events—designed to naturally immerse you in real language-use environments.

We believe that the most effective way to learn a foreign language is consistent exposure to real-life usage.

Through this process, you can feel your own progress, gain confidence, and discover areas where you want to improve even more.

We believe these experiences are what truly sustain motivation throughout the long journey of language learning.

That is why we created a space where anyone—regardless of nationality, background, or skill level—can freely practice and experience foreign languages.

Study Leader Profile

🙋‍♀️Emma

Emma is Chinese(Han Chinese) and speaks standard Mandarin (Beijing accent). She is also able to communicate in both English and Korean. She graduated from Nankai University in Tianjin and worked for ten years as an instructor at New Oriental, a well-known college entrance exam institute in China. While raising her child in Korea, she spent a lot of time reading children’s books for her, and through this she gained experience helping her child speak both Korean and Mandarin fluently. She enjoys meeting people and having meaningful conversations, and she has a strong interest in corporate stories and entrepreneurship.

🙋‍♂️Brian

Brian is Korean, born in Seoul, and currently living in Songdo, Incheon. He graduated from Korea University and earned a master’s degree from Tsinghua University in China. He also studied for one year at Miami University at Ohio, USA, and worked for 14 years in the finance department at Samsung. He is naturally curious and particularly interested in technology and economics. He enjoys talking with people from diverse backgrounds and drawing inspiration from those conversations. He is also interested in public speaking and is actively practicing in various ways.
